How to Find the Exact Date You Created Your Facebook Account
As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, finding the exact date you created your Facebook account can be a bit tricky because Facebook doesn’t provide a straightforward way to view this information. However, you can try the following steps:
- Desktop (Web Browser):
- Open Facebook and log in to your account.
- Click on your profile name in the top right corner to go to your profile page.
- Click on the “About” tab below your cover photo.
- In the left sidebar, click on “Contact and Basic Info.”
- Scroll down to the “Events” section and you might see a “Joined Facebook” event. The date mentioned there is an approximation of when you joined Facebook.
- Mobile App (iOS/Android):
- Open the Facebook app and log in.
- Tap on the three horizontal lines in the bottom-right corner to open the menu.
- Scroll down and tap on “Settings & Privacy,” then tap on “Settings.”
- Scroll down and tap on “Personal Information.”
- Here, you’ll see an option called “Date of Birth” which includes the month and year you joined Facebook. Unfortunately, it doesn’t show the exact date.
If you’re unable to find the exact date through these methods, you may not be able to retrieve it from within the platform itself. In that case, you might need to rely on personal records or memory if you have kept track of when you created your account.
